Sharing the Good News: Adam and Eve, Jesus, and a Bedtime Prayer
In this Gospel Portions episode, a family bedtime scene frames Brianna Book reading a story about “good news,” comparing the kids being lost and then adopted with how God restores what was broken. Brianna explains that God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden, but they disobeyed God by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil after being tricked by a serpent, bringing sin and separation from God. She shares that people once brought offerings to God, but God gave a gift instead: Jesus, whose life is an example and whose death and resurrection make a restored relationship with God possible.
