Brianna Book Tells the Story of Zacharias, Elizabeth, and the Angel’s Message
At bedtime, Brianna Book gathers the family to share a Bible story about an angel’s visit to the priest Zacharias. She explains that Zacharias and his wife Elizabeth were righteous and blameless in following God’s commandments. While Zacharias serves in the temple burning incense, an angel appears, tells him not to fear, and says his prayer has been heard: Elizabeth will have a son named John, who will bring joy to many, be filled with the Holy Spirit, avoid strong drink, and turn many in Israel to God. Despite the promise, Zacharias doubts because of their old age, and the angel makes him unable to speak until John is born. The family reflects that God looks at the heart, not outward circumstances, and closes with Daddy Delivery Truck leading a prayer for faith, provision, and protection.
